Our Story

Rainbow Nursery first opened its doors in August 1989 and is registered with The Care Commission and approved by HMI. We are in partnership with West Lothian Council to offer grant assisted places for children aged 3-5 years. The nursery has been owned by a family from Glasgow since 2003 and serves the community of Bathgate and its surrounding areas.

Our Expansion

The nursery underwent an extensive expansion programme which completed in June 2009. The finished result speaks for itself as you will see at your viewing.

At present the nursery consists of a newly refurbished 3 storey building which houses Pre-School in the basement, toddler room and baby room on the ground floor and the After School Club on the upper floor. Just around the corner from the main nursery is our new venture. We have converted the Old Library to accommodate our pre-schoolers. It will most definately be state of the art when completed and we hope to open the doors mid to end of March 2013.

Our Manager

Susan Johnston has been with Rainbow nursery for nearly 25 years, gaining all her qualifications here. She has been Nursery Manager since 2003 and has played a key role in ongoing success of the nursery. Susan leads and manages the current team effectively and is a great motivator, displaying a shared sense of direction, pride and energy.
